Patients value their experience in a clinical trial
On December 21, 2022, a study carried out by Josu Iraola, coordinator of the Hematology Unit of the Vall d’Hebron Hospital in Barcelona, was published on the Blog Deescordinando un Ensayo Clínico, in which he conducted a survey of patients to assess their experience in a clinical trial.
As the results of the survey show, overall the patients were very satisfied with almost all the aspects that they had to assess, although some aspects that should be improved were detected.
It is very satisfying to see, in the first place, that one of the questions was for the patients to value the Bonotaxi services, a fact that demonstrates the importance of patients having this service to participate in a clinical study and remain in it until its completion and, secondly, the score obtained (a 9). However, they valued accommodation and travel management with a 7.80, precisely two of the new services that we offer from Healthcare Concierge by Bonotaxi and with which we intend to upload this note, since it will be good news for everyone.
As Josu points out, "in an era of increasing attention to the patient experience, patient satisfaction when receiving research-related healthcare services should be consulted and investigated to gain a better understanding of how we can better serve them."
